Finally managed to complete this one after months!!! So happy it's finally done.
I think this movie grew on me more and more as I was subbing it. Maybe it's the music or the cute cast or the pining of the leads... I really liked the two ships of the movie, sooooooo cute. Even though the special effects weren't the best, the journey is what's important, so best to turn off your brain and enjoy. This movie doesn't deserve the hate it gets for its special effects. I think it was very well-produced considering the challenges they faced.

Subbing the math parts was challenging because I didn't fully understand the math in one line. I tried to correct it, but let me know if I messed up. I think the way I subbed it should make more sense.
For the most part, the movie seems to be set in a fictional part of Tokyo called Kouka. Even though the official synopsis mentions Tokyo and there's mention of Shibuya, I think they intended it to be set in a more or less fictional setting.
Since this was basically a festival movie, you can find the whole cast translated at the end.
