Ie Naki Ko (1994) Drama - Season 1

A drama depicting the journey of Aizawa Suzu, a girl that is forced to survive against all odds, while also trying to save her mom from dying.

Ie Naki Ko (Homeless Child / Child Without a Home) is a 1994 drama which scored the highest audience rating in the year 1994 (37.2 %).

It follows adventures of a young girl called Suzu who tries to endure all the hardships in her way while trying to save her mother from dying.

This took so many months to complete. Even now, I am still not 100% happy with some lines, but I just wanted to share and stop working on it. There were too many difficult sections that made me give up several times. If you spot any mistakes, please kindly tell me. I am sure the subs aren't the best in some sections, but I am just one person working on it, so keep that in mind.

The episodes were timed to 432p raws, but they worked quite well with the 480p raws after some minor retiming. 480p raws are slightly better quality, but also bigger in size. The difference isn't that big. Thanks to raredoramas for providing the 480p raws. Of course, the most preferable way of watching is by downloading the files, but if that's inconvenient for you, hardsub is also available. If you're on PC, make sure you install the provided fonts by double clicking on them.

Note: The upscale is just a regular upscale (not an AI upscale!) to prevent subtitles being downsampled, so they are more readable. This hardsub is bigger in size, so use the other one if you care about data consumption.

The continuation of season 1 is the movie, which you can find subbed here. I do want to sub season 2 one day, but it'll be shared privately thanks to the people in this thread. People can't even drop a thank you or show any appreciation to me for sharing, let alone ask me any question. I'm all for preservation of old media, but this isn't how it's done.

Lastly, prepare your tissues. It's such a beautiful drama.
